Healing Journey

w/Trinity Davis

There are times in all of our lives where we feel like our emotions are a war zone. However when faced with endless competing demands and deadlines, it becomes second nature to become detached from and neglect ourselves. Often times this self sacrifice is expected and sometimes praised in the name of productivity and/or caring for others. We are forced to repress to the point of disconnect, making it feel nearly impossible to prioritize yourself. If you find yourself struggling to take yourself off the back burner, feelings of burnout, feeling stuck, feeling a lack of purpose, struggling with identity, struggling self love/esteem/compassion, struggling with healthy boundaries, etc, may have become your new norm.

Welcome, I’m Trinity

If any of the above resonated with you, you may find yourself feeling ready for a change, but also find it challenging to ask for and accept help. I understand how daunting this process can feel. The good news is that you are currently taking the first step! Congratulations! Whether you know where you want to be and need help getting there, or you have no clue where to begin, I would love the opportunity to help you return to equilibrium.

In plain terms:

Most importantly, I believe you have the power to enact any change you want to see in your life. Healing is not about fixing what is “wrong,” it’s about understanding yourself with greater compassion. I am here to help you slow down, reflect, and move forward with support and no judgement.

My Specialties

Signs We Will Work Well Together

To help you further, here are concerns my clients often have before working with me:

  • Repeating the same unhelpful thoughts or behaviors and wondering why things don’t change

  • Persistent anxiety, worry, or racing thoughts that interfere with daily life

  • Low mood, lack of motivation, or difficulty enjoying activities once liked

  • Overwhelm from juggling responsibilities, leading to shutdowns or avoidance

  • Difficulty managing strong emotions—reacting impulsively or feeling flooded

  • Trouble setting or enforcing boundaries; people-pleasing or resentment buildup

  • Confusion about values or direction, making decisions feel draining or hollow

  • Getting stuck inside problems and missing perspectives that could help move forward

  • Losing sight of progress, minimizing wins, and feeling discouraged after setbacks

If these are things you can relate to, I want to talk to you. Your feelings are valid and you don’t have to go through these things alone.

Go from Feeling:

  • Emotional dysregulation and mood swings: Strong feelings—sudden crying, irritability, or emotional numbness—can shift quickly and unpredictably, undermining routines and making stable responses to daily events difficult.

  • Re-experiencing and avoidance patterns: Recurrent intrusive memories, images, or dreams can intrude unexpectedly; to cope, people may avoid reminders, environments, or conversations, which narrows activities and slows healing.

  • Cognitive disruption and slowed processing: Persistent sadness, anxiety, or stress can impair attention, short-term memory, planning, and decision-making, leading to errors, missed deadlines, or mental fatigue.

  • Withdrawal and relational strain: Reduced social engagement, difficulty trusting or communicating needs, and misinterpreted behaviors can create distance from loved ones and increase feelings of isolation.

To Feeling:

  • Grief is less overwhelming; painful waves come and go with more predictability, allowing you to remember the person or loss without being flooded by panic.

  • Depressive symptoms—low energy, hopeless thinking, loss of interest—begin to lift, bringing more moments of motivation and pleasure.

  • Anxiety becomes more manageable: worry is less constant, panic symptoms decrease, and you tolerate uncertainty using healthier coping skills.

  • You have practical tools (breathing, grounding, behavioral activation, cognitive restructuring) you can use independently when distress arises.

  • Self-compassion and acceptance grow; you respond to setbacks with curiosity instead of harsh self-criticism.

  • Daily functioning improves—sleep, appetite, concentration, and work or school performance stabilize—so you feel more reliable and confident.

  • You prioritize your own needs and maintain consistent self-care practices.

My Therapy Approaches

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):

If you often find yourself caught in cycles of negative thinking, self-criticism, or perfectionism, CBT can help you break free. This approach focuses on identifying and challenging the unhelpful thought patterns that keep you feeling stuck or anxious, replacing them with healthier, more empowering perspectives. Together, we’ll look at the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, so you can begin to shift your mindset and start living with more confidence and clarity. CBT gives you practical tools to manage anxiety, overcome self-doubt, and move through life’s challenges with greater ease.

  • Person-Centered Therapy:

I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to create a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. In person-centered therapy, you set the pace, and I’m here to listen, reflect, and help you tap into your inner strengths. By creating a relationship built on trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, we’ll work together to uncover your authentic self and help you navigate through life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you. You’ll learn to trust yourself, embrace your growth, and make decisions that align with who you truly are.

  • Trauma Informed

    Description goes here

I believe in providing trauma-informed therapy that prioritizes safety, choice, and collaboration. By recognizing how trauma affects the whole person—mind, body, and relationships—I aim to create a respectful, nonjudgmental space where clients regain control, build resilience, and move toward healing at their own pace. My approach emphasizes empowerment, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-informed interventions tailored to each individual’s needs.

My Background:

I’ve lived the unique stresses, transitions, and unseen wounds that come that come with life and that lived experience shapes how I support clients. My approach to therapy is culturally aware, respectful, and grounded in real-world understanding. If you’ve spent years being “strong,” holding everything together, or putting others first, therapy can be the place where you finally breathe. I would be honored to walk with you as you heal, rebuild, and move toward the life you deserve.

I am currently working under the direct supervision of Zoe Wade LPC, CPCS.

Therapy w/ me is affordable at $30-40 per session
